Sarah found her way to the priesthood through her experience at Thad's as a worshipper, and is thrilled to continue to serve Thad's as the Associate for Community Formation. Her path has been a circuitous one, but she credits the unique and authentic Thad's community as instrumental in helping her see her way home to ordained ministry. She's driven by questions around what the next generation of church looks like in our modern, interconnected world and is grateful for the chance to wrestle together toward answers with a community like Thad's.
Sarah holds masters degrees in theology from The University of Chicago Divinity School and from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., in addition to a certificate in Anglican Studies from Church Divinity School of the Pacific in Berkeley. Her favorite ways to spend her spare time include reading and writing, enjoying the sunshine, seeing live music and baseball, cooking, and talking theology. Hailing from the Shenandoah Valley and harboring a deep love for Chicago where she lived for 6 years, she feels she's found her home in Los Angeles.
You can reach her for all things Thad's-related at sarah@thads.org.
Michael Coulter has been with Thad's from the beginning as part of the wonderful music ministry. Growing up in Kansas City, Michael played blues guitar while listening to B.B. King, Chuck Berry and Elvis. In his 20’s he engineered live sound at the famous Grand Emporium for such greats as John Lee Hooker, Wynton Marsalis, Jimmy Cliff and many more. Eventually, he made it out to the west coast where he studied film-score at UCLA.
Today Michael composes score in his studio in Santa Monica and enjoys recording and producing various musicians in the Thad's music family.
One of our Lead Musicians, Hunter Perrin was born into a musical family in Texas and grew up listening to Willie Nelson, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Fats Domino, ZZ TOP, and The Texas Tornadoes.
